School House Rock! And Our Love for Reclaimed Stone

If you are in your 40's or 50's you are almost certainly familiar with the ABC Animated program called School House Rock. I loved that show.

My daughter Emma is not familiar with the program, but she is learning about The Old Rock Schoolhouse building tucked away in the woods in Bristol Maine. This one room school house, operating between 1835 and 1899, is built of locally quarried granite planks (similar to granite blocks or curbing). These are the artifacts history we at Stone Farm love. Searching out unique reclaimed stone structures is just another day on the job!
