Thin Brick Veneer Adds a Dash of Flavor to Edgartown

Welcome to Rockfish, Edgartown, MA!

Rockfish_streetscene The new place on the block!

Nell, Will and Geoghan Coogan, owners and sibling trio at Rockfish were planning to do something unique with a great space near the Wharf in Edgartown, MA. It was a simple process...they contacted us here at Stone Farm, samples were sent, the brick order was shipped and they were on their way! And...here is the end result!

The design goal was to achieve a rustic, but contemporary look---our Reclaimed Thin Brick Veneer filled that niche perfectly! Among the many highlights, one feature that really stands out is the pizza oven brought in from another local restaurant. The oven was dropped in from the ceiling and enclosed in our brick to become one of the focal points in this tapas-style restaurant. Another highlight is the very creative downstairs bar that was rebuilt out of whiskey barrels. Thin Brick is then extended along the wall in this section, adding warmth to the surrounding beams, reclaimed hemlock flooring and refined ducting that touches on the edge of modern all in the inviting glow of old-fashioned Edison lighting. Who would not enjoy some freshly made to order tapas and a good bottle of wine in this cool space?

When I asked one of the brothers what made him choose our brick product, his reply was "it's just such a great product with an awesome look...it worked for our space and was just what we were looking for-- we just love the pizza oven!"

Rockfishbuzz_reclaimedthinbrick A busy bar on a cold night in January--both the reclaimed thin brick and the pizza oven make this space warm and cozy.

rockfish_pizzaoven_reclaimedthinbrick Aged Thin Brick Veneer gives the pizza oven a warm look with a great patina--as if it's been here for 100 years or more!

We at Stone Farm wish Rockfish MUCH success with their exciting new restaurant endeavor and hope to visit one day soon!
