Creating your own unique outdoor fire pit can be as simple as choosing the favorite shape of a boulder harvested from your local woodlands!
That is exactly what this Massachusetts home owner did. The goal was to add a fire feature that would match his existing CT fieldstone walls. Instead of going with the standard round fire pit , he chose this unique option! After looking through various New England boulders that we harvest from the woods of Connecticut, he chose his shape of choice. We then took the boulder and inserted a 20" fire pan that hooked up directly to his propane line. The result is a one of a kind fire pit with an organic shape, that allows it to easily blend into the surrounding landscape. A simple touch of the button is all that is required for instant warmth and ambience. Another great focal point of this patio is the Pennsylvania bluestone used in this project, seen as patio pavers as well as the treads that sit atop the CT fieldstone walls.
Not only does this fire pit have originality, but this particular shape acts as a table! A great focal point AND its useful as well!
